Hit the Road Jack

So, tomorrow I’m outta here.  Finally!  All this planning and prep and the time has finally come.  Lets see: my crash course on packing for a trip of indefinite length was pretty interesting, and at times a challenge (some of you know what I’m referring too…)…just like I thought it would, the last few days before leaving have been crazy…I’ve been able to spend some great QT with friends and family…and I found out yesterday that I can bring a big ol’ pile of my beloved health bars with me to Iceland on the plane.  All the essentials right?  As far as where I’m heading up front:  the Iceland work-exchange is set…still trying to land a couch in Paris…pretty sure I’ve got a  couch for Lisbon…had a little shake-up with my Portugal work-exchange last minute, but I already have 3 to replace it…and after that, not sure but I love my options!

Things are good.  Steve and I are pumped, and definitely cannot wait to get out of here.  But at the same time all this has made me appreciate what I have around me.  I love my family, and they’ve let me know the same.  I have great friends!  Except for this time of year…I definitely dig my hood.  I’m gonna miss my babies like crazy (guitar, drums, etc).  4 things I’ll miss for real.  Going through this process has just made me more thankful for the life I live right now, and everyone and everything that makes it so great.  Now I’m just going to add to all that!

Alright, ton of stuff to do today so I’m out.  Man, I wanted to get to writing about those other road trips I took.  Maybe I’ll get to that in the airport, because I’m sure I’ll have time to kill.  Next update from the edge of the Arctic Circle…in January…zoinks…

Enjoy – looking for many pics – stay away from the “Black Death” – looks harmless enough but, packs a punch and stay away from the bootlegged stuff too – Dave’s excellent adventure begins. . . . .

I think for all of those tuning in to this blog it would make more sense of you to create an introduction to who you are, how you came to decide what you’re doing, the process to do it and in general more details. The you will get more people pulled in than just your friends. Give the peeps background, personal interest and a reason to follow you. Do it up!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

    Love you bro!
